I had the worst scare of my entire life today. Glad to say it's over & a lesson was learned & I cannot tell you how much I cherish my daughter sleeping soundly in the other room.

I spent some extra time cuddling with Oona while putting her to bed tonight.

She is my life.

Long story short, her dad had her for 2 days & wasn't clear about when he would bring her back to me friday but he said he would call me thursday night & he didn't. All day friday I couldn't get a hold of him at all so I called the cops but he ended up calling me shortly after so it was all straightened out & she was home around 930pm.

Yah oh well. Just forgetful I guess. He apologized 100 fold & he gave me some more contact info & promised to make sure to call when implied next time.

Oh man, I would be freaking out. I had a similar miscommunication with Ainsie's dad when she was younger and I was FLIPPING out on everyone. I can't imagine that happening again. :(

I was crying soo much & shivering like crazy (I always do that when I'm really upset, no matter how many jackets or pairs of socks or blankets I have on me)

i'm not sure what happened with your daughter..but i've had a few with my own. she's taken a few spills off the bed sleeping even after putting up bed rails...one time my brother dropped her..and just coming home and seeing her neglected by my father or brother..it enrages me..they've gotten better.

i'll be sure to give my boor bear and extra hug because this is a reminder of how fragile life is..especially a child...especially YOUR child's.
