This is probably the weirdest thing I've ever had happen to me.. & I think I have a lot of weird things happen to me. I've never had something not be able to move in the normal way it does. My mouth opens SUPER wide normally, but right now, this is how far my mouth is opening! I didn't even realize how serious it was until I was literally relaxing my mouth & trying to pull on my jaw to make my mouth open. THAT'S ALL I GOT.

There's a simple example of how big my mouth usually is, without even trying!

I can't get over this.

I looked up information about lockjaw online & I came to the conclusion that lockjaw like this can be caused by constantly clenching your jaw.. which I have been doing quite frequently, even while I sleep, since my top left wisdom tooth started coming in. Eck. I want this to be done already.

Be thankful you do not have to get lower jaw surgery like I do next August. My jaw locks up sometimes, but normally I have a lot of pain thanks to TMJ. Have you looked anything up about TMJ?

Thanks<3 I've been really careful about not gritting my teeth when I go to sleep. I've also been massaging my jaw frequently so it's slowly been getting better :D

Yah, I've been doing my best not to clench my teeth as well as massaging my jaw while I'm at work & on the computer. It has been helping quite a bit.

Ahahah oh no! You should really try to stop doing that! It's real bad. One of my friends today was telling me about these things you can buy for when you sleep to keep you from clenching your teeth subconsiously. I'm thinking about looking into that.

Let me know what you come across. I've been thinking about buying a mouth guard to wear when I sleep but I just haven't gotten around to buying one.

yah, that happened to me after i got surgery for my wisdom teeth. i had super bad lockjaw and couldnt open my mouth wider than my pinky finger. i had to go to physical therepy for it, so hopefully it doesnt get that bad. you just need to keep trying to pull it apart, even tho it will hurt like a mother.

i hope it gets better :o/
